Terms of Service

These terms govern your purchase and use of Gêne products and the Gêne app, offered by Gêne Alarm, with registered address in Spain, VAT number ES123456789. By purchasing from our website or using our app, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's consent, to purchase or use Gêne.

Orders and payment

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices are shown in the currency you select at checkout and may change at any time before an order is placed. We may refuse or cancel an order, including in cases of suspected fraud or a pricing error. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, you get a full refund.

Product use and limitations

Gêne is designed to assist in alerting the contacts you choose and, where enabled, emergency services. The alarm and the flashlight work on the device alone. The SOS call and live location depend on factors outside our control, including Bluetooth connection, phone battery and signal, network availability and emergency service response.

Gêne is not a substitute for calling emergency services directly when you can, and we cannot guarantee that any alert, call or location share will be delivered or acted on in every circumstance.

Keep the device charged and test it from time to time. Use it for its intended purpose only.

Warranty

Gêne products come with a two year limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. It does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised modification, water damage beyond the stated rating, or normal wear. Warranty claims go to customercare@genealarm.com with your order number.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gêne Alarm is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, Gêne products or the Gêne app, including where the device or app does not function as intended. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

The app

The Gêne app is free and requires no subscription. We may update it, and we may change or discontinue features. Your contacts are stored so the app can alert them, and your location is shared only when you trigger the alarm. See our privacy policy for the detail.

Intellectual property

All content on our website and app, including the Gêne name, logo and product design, is the property of Gêne Alarm and may not be used without permission.

Returns

Returns and refunds are covered in our shipping and returns page, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Spain, without affecting your right as a consumer to bring proceedings where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our website, app or products after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
